I cannot recommend Country Automotive in Santa Clarita enough! The transmission on my 1999 Honda Accord went out, and I was worried about finding a shop willing to work on an older vehicle without overcharging me. From the moment I spoke with Adam, the owner, I felt completely at ease. Adam took the time to explain the diagnosis clearly, confirming exactly what I suspected about the clutch assembly. The team completed the repair efficiently, and the car shifts smoother now than it has in years. I also brought it in to have the AC system repaired. True to their reputation, the pricing was fair and transparent, with no unnecessary upsells or confusing jargon, which gave me great peace of mind. If you need reliable transmission or clutch work, or any type of auto repair that they specialize in, especially for an aging Honda, this is the place to go. Adam came highly recommended by a friend who has been going to Country Auto for years. Our older vehicle needed the AC fixed and I knew there was some other work that had to be done. Adam got the cooling system working again (hallelujah!) but then told me about the more pressing issue on the front end, which I knew about but hadn’t mentioned. I was impressed that he went beyond the standard AC repair and oil changing, finding an issue that could have left me stranded had the front suspension failed. I got great value for the money and think I have a new mechanic for life!

If you are looking for a trusted mechanic, Country Auto is who you want to go to. I went in for a 90k miles service and Adam called me to give me a rundown of what was absolutely necessary for my car and what could wait. He patiently explained everything I didn't understand and was completely upfront about pricing and what services they were going to do to my car. He was very honest and I will absolutely be going back for any other car maintenance I'll possibly need in the future. I highly highly recommend going here if you are looking for an auto shop in SCV.
